How do you know?
My question is, "How does anybody know it's that cold?", because shouldn't anybody who's smart enough to look at a thermometer have moved away from there by now?
It's a shame about the loss of the schools: "Farther south, freezing rain hit southwest Missouri early Monday, making roads hazardous and losing schools." Where'd they go?
On the bright side, the not-so-country, but originally country-tinged rockers The Eagles renewed their reunion vows, and announced plans for a follow-up to their 1994 album, Hell Freezes Over.
Additionally, from the 1939 MGM classic "The Wizard of Oz", respite was granted to the Wicked Witch of the West, who was reportedly in stable, solid, form. Quoted she: "Yeah, they really are..."
