Small amount of controversy won't kill us...
The question is: Can you be a Christian and be a Democrat?
Yes, it is possible in theory. After all, we are saved by grace, which means we don't do anything to deserve forgiveness. You can be flat out wrong about any of the non-essentials and be a Christian. But hopefully some day such a person would repent and mend their ways. :)
