My point is...

Ok, yea, thanks for the input on the last post, "Interesting Article". Evidently I was the only one who found it interesting. So anyhow, here's my point which I got from the comments section of the linked article: Even with my Concealed Handgun Permit, there are certain places that it is illegal for me to carry my gun and yet I have to admit that unless there is a metal detector at the door, I'm probably carrying. Not everywhere, but most places. And the only way you will ever know if I'm carrying is if I have to pull it out to save a life and there is no other way. I am trained and prepared, knowing the consequences and the benefits and I would rather face a jury of my peers than have a good guy get killed (me or you). So, that's my point.

Some people might comment if you didn't tell them to stop reading your blog...

The company where I worked in Phoenix announced a policy that weapons were not permitted anywhere on their property, including in your car in the parking lot. I asked if that meant that they were going to be searching the cars, and they wouldn't answer that question. Then I asked if the company was accepting responsibility for the protection of their employees from the time we left our home until we returned home, since their policy deprived us of the ability to protect ourselves. They seemed to think that it was an absurd question, but I don't think that it is.

Here in Fort Worth I work on a military base with military security and a strict "no weapons" policy. They do occasionally search vehicles, and if you have a weapon they waterboard you, so I left it at home when I'm going to work.
