Well, he ain't no Merle Haggard in the music department but I like Toby Keith's attitude about what is happening in the world today. Even after five trips to visit our troops in the Middle East, he wonders why people would ask him or any other celebrity their opinion about anything. Thanks, Toby for not losing your reality and thank you for your support of our fighting men and women.

Interestingly, the Okie From Muskogee was born in Bakersfield, CA (although his parents had emigrated from the Sooner state during the Dust Bowl), while TK is actually from Clinton, OK. Regardless, TK, and anyone else, Dem or Rep, who takes the time to support our guys and gals in harm's way and make their tour of duty more bearable...those folks are to be commended.
Someone who is not from Texas could also be quite a force in the Mideast. Yes, I'm talking about David Allan Coe, from Akron, OH. DAC could certainly entertain the troops, and if he'd give some concerts for al-Qaeda, he might even convert a few of them into long-haired, tattooed rednecks!
