Multi-faceted question
But does there have to be so much rain?

Even with the rain, we were able to go (the three kids and me) to the shooting range and blast about 150+ rounds of .22 at falling plates.
Middle son and only daughter had never done this before, and both were able to go 6-for-6 several times. Oldest son, already experienced, was a great mentor helping the other two.
