Oh, great. Now I have a blog! Now I have to take care of it every day! Writing as if everybody in the world will read it when probably nobody in the world will.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

There's a really fine organization, started in 1871, does a lot to preserve Americans' 2nd Amendment rights. What's that name again...? Really good group.
Well, D², it would seem to boggle the mind, until one remembers that half of those same justices were appointed by a President confused by the meaning of the two-letter word "is"...
The other half of the confused justices, Stevens & Souter, were appointed by GRF (nee Leslie King, Jr.) and GHWB (41), respectively. Go figure...
As a Life Member of the NRA, let me also say that I am in no way opposed to arming Yogi (but not Boo-Boo),[Vermont] Teddy, Care, Paddington, Huggy, Builda, and Gentle Ben.
I do think that Circus Bears should be considered on a case-by-case basis, mainly because of the interaction with the Clowns, and those monkeys riding Shetland Ponies.
Also, I believe it would be rare to see an armed Panda or Koala Bear, as most of them are pacifists.
Jimmy Buffett's friend Buddy Bear would be allowed, but only when he's not drinking...

It boggles the mind that 4 of the 9 judges had trouble understanding the clear meaning of those words.
Surely they couldn't mean what they say!

This just in from Miss Emily Litella:
I believe that the right to bare arms is fundamental to American life.
I mean, just look at Larry the Cable Guy. He's so handsome. And the way he bares his arms! How dreamy...
My vote is for Larry the Cable Guy to be on the poster advertising the 2nd Amendment.
I love you, Larry!
C. Chase: Uh, Miss Litella, that's b-e-a-r, not b-a-r-e.
E. Litella: Oh, never mind!
